I'm trying to find inspiration in common things - inspiration to scrapbook, inspiration to jump and dance with the boys, inspiration to step outside and take a deep breath of the fresh fall air.
Here are a few things I've been trying to look at in a new way:
* my new iPod - now I have a whole new reason to take a walk.
* junk mail - like the chipboard Eddie Bauer postcard with a single word on the bottom left corner - "cheers". If I don't actually use it on a layout, then I'll have to mimic its simple title for a page.
* the mums at the super market - these make me want to dig in the dirt, plant a few around the mailbox. Wouldn't that splash of color make people smile?
* October - this weekend I will finally put out the Halloween decorations!
* Cindy's Porch website - http://www.cindysporch.net/ - A great inspiration to SAVE money before I spend it!
* my first paycheck - got to save this!
* the giant stack of magazines on my coffee table - I need to slow down, relax, read these on the back porch wrapped up in a snuggly sweatshirt while the boys run around the backyard.
* quiet time - sometimes I just need to turn off the TV and sit, listen, and let my mind go.
